Scarlet – Clarrie Grimmett



The wonderful story of the outstanding Australian legspinner, born in Dunedin New Zealand who played for Wellington, South Africa and Australia between 19 and 1941. The book has been produced in a trade and limited edition. The limited edition of forty eight copies has been signed by seven people all connected or associated with the subject – Shane Warne and Richie Benaud –legspinners, Arthur Morris – Grimmett’s last first class victim, Dr. D.D. Beard his doctor and a first class cricketer, Vic Grimmett, Clarrie’s son, Ian Healy who launched the book and the author Ashley Mallett. The limited edition has been bound in maroon half leather, dark green boards, marbled end papers with a xxxx ribbon. The limited edition also included a DVD of Grimmett’s home movies taken by him on the 1930 and 1934 tour of England with commentary by David Frith.
